Disable one-to-one email tracking or attachment logging

Users with Account access permissions can turn off email tracking and attachment logging for emails sent using HubSpot. This includes emails sent from:

  • The CRM (contact, company, deal, quote records, and ticket records).
  • The conversations inbox.
  • Gmail, Outlook, or Office 365 using the sales extension.

Disable one-to-one-email tracking

When tracking is turned off, you won't see open and click information for emails sent from the CRM, conversations, and email extensions. To disable tracking: 

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Integrations > Email Integrations.
  • Click the Log and Track tab.
  • Under Track emails from CRM, Conversations, and Extensions, click to toggle the Enable email tracking for all users switch OFF.

When sending an email from the CRM, an alert will display that your admin has disabled email tracking. Click Got it to send the email.

Disable email attachment logging

When email attachment logging is disabled, attachments included in emails will not log to HubSpot. To disable attachment logging: 

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Integrations Email integrations
  • Click the Log and Track tab. 
  • Click to toggle the Enable email attachment logging for all users switch OFF.
