With the brand domain add-on, Marketing Hub Enterprise users can host and manage content for two or more distinct brands.
The brand domain is the part of a domain between the subdomain and the top-level domain. For example, if your website is www.website.com, website is the brand domain.
If you're rebranding your company or website, you can replace your brand domain to update your hosted content. When you replace a brand domain, the brand domain for all connected subdomains will be updated. The rest of the URL structure will remain the same. For example, you have the brand domain "hubspot" set up in your account, and you've connected the www.hubspot.com and blog.hubspot.com subdomains. If you replace the brand domain "hubspot" with "inbound":
In the above example, the subdomains and top-level domain stay the same, but the brand domain changes. If this is the outcome you're looking for, you'll only need to follow the instructions in the Replace your brand domain section below.
However, if you're replacing your brand domain and subdomain or top-level domain (www.hubspot.com to info.inbound.com or www.inbound.net), then follow the full instructions below.
If you're only changing the top-level domain, you do not need to replace your brand domain. For example, you can use the hubspot brand domain to host both www.hubspot.com and www.hubspot.net. You would just need to connect a new domain with the .net top-level domain using your existing hubspot brand domain.
Please note: any custom analytics views created using the old brand domain will be deleted from your account after the brand domain is replaced.
Follow the below steps to replace your brand domain. If you're also changing your subdomain or top-level domain, follow the additional steps at the end of this section to replace your primary domain.
Please note: if you haven't connected the new brand domain as a redirecting domain, you will not see it listed in the dropdown menu.
If you're only replacing your brand domain, not the subdomains and top-level domains:
If you're replacing your brand domain and subdomain or top-level domain, continue reading below.
If you're replacing your brand domain and the subdomain or top-level domain of your website, continue the process below.
Please note: this process involves replacing the brand domain, and then replacing the primary domain. Between these steps, there will be a brief period of website downtime.
After replacing the primary domain, your brand domain will be fully swapped and the content on your old primary domain will be accessible on the new primary domain.
If you're also replacing secondary domains, continue to the next section which will guide you through the process of swapping content on secondary domains.
With your primary domain replaced, you can now replace any secondary domains with your new brand. For example, you previously had a secondary domain for your landing pages at info.mycompanywebsite.org. To move your existing landing pages from that domain to your new domain of info.newbrand.website, you'll need to update info.newbrand.website from a redirected domain to a secondary domain, then manually update the URLs for your landing pages.
After replacing your brand domain:
